We are pleased to ask for your support of the Agape Clinic’s 40th Anniversary Dinner on April 14th. This exceptional evening will celebrate and honor the many individuals who have been instrumental in the healthcare expansion and community outreach that the Agape Clinic provides unconditionally.

During this 40th Anniversary year, we are delighted to honor Agape founder Barbara Baxter, M.D., for her vision and perseverance in guiding Agape through four decades. We will also celebrate our Honorary Chair, Richard Stanford, for his exceptional service to our community.

The evening’s festivities will include a cocktail reception, seated dinner, donor recognition, and a brief keynote speech by journalist-turned-athlete-turned-coach Ben Malcolmson. Ben is the author of Walk On, which recounts his fascinating journey and is recognized as an authentic voice for what happens when a believer allows God to work in one’s life. With only one season of Pop Warner experience in the fifth grade, Ben Malcolmson miraculously became a member of the No. 1-ranked USC Trojans during his senior year in college. As a sports writer for the Daily Trojan, USC’s student newspaper Ben tried out for the team to write a humorous feature article about walk-ons and miraculously ended up earning a roster spot as a wide receiver. Ben was both thrilled and terrified, sensing there was a divinely inspired reason. His body would be battered, his perseverance tested, and his heart broken. Ben’s inspiring story of purpose and hope will leave you in awe of an utterly amazing God.
